"Simply amazing for Sushi & Teriyaki Chicken! YUM!"

(Had to wait a while for the table...but it wasn't a huge issue as we made ourselves comfy in the bar and enjoyed a few cocktails!)

"Toko"

Great food, fast service, great fun, oh and keep away from some of the saki :).

If there are only a couple of you try to sit where you can watch them prepare and cook your meal.

It is expensive but the food it really good.

"Impressive Food and Interior"

Japanese with a modern twist, the food at Toko in Surry Hills is fabulous! The interior is interesting and the lighting is well thought out. Windows open exposing the bar area to the passers by on Crown Street, creating a lively atmosphere. The sculpture made out of 1000s of matchsticks is worth a closer look.

At first we were seated next to the kitchen area and it was a little hot so we asked to be moved to the long communal table and the waiter was happy to oblige. It is best to order several dishes and share (the eggplant with miso sauce is a must!). There is also a bar area if you fancy a pre-dinner drink and the cocktails are excellent.

The food is on the pricey side so perhaps better for a romantic meal or special occasion.
