"A Royal Experience!"
Can you think of a better way to spend a Sunday afternoon? A three tier platter of sweet delights and gourmet sandwiches awaits. Do you choose the fluffy scones, sweet berry jams, and chantilly cream or the cute vanilla bean cupcakes with strawberry icing, sprinkled with sugar love hearts? Perhaps you'd prefer the decadent chocolate delights and melting moments? Or gourmet sandwiches, with smoked salmon, chicken, or creme friache and dill? Tough decision? The selection of teas is even tougher, with a selection of worldly options available including Russian Caravan, English Breakfast, Earl Grey and China Sencha, along with a variety of herbal and fruit concoctions. At the Victoria Room you can enjoy all this whilst relaxing luxurious velvet seating in a romantic and classy atmosphere. The only things missing are fine bone China, a consistent waiter to manage each table, and the coffee tables aren't large enough for the massive food platters. But, as special treat who can complain when so many other things are so right. The price at $35 per person is a great way to spoil yourself and enjoy something special with a group of close friends.

"Daytime, Nightime, Anytime..."
You'd never believe this place used to once be an old car garage. Victoria Rooms is just one of those places that always makes an impression. I've been there a few times for dinner (tapas) and the food and service has always been great. I love the decor and I love the big tables and sofas. I'll always remember the first time I went to this place for dinner. About 8 of us sat at a grand dining table surrounded by large chairs. It felt like we were at the Emperor's table and I was at the head of it!
High Tea is also a winner and a great idea for Mother's Day. This one went down a treat with the In-Laws!
You'd never find yourself having to twist my arm to go to the V Rooms for a drink. A good selection of beers, a great selection of wines and there's certainly no lacking in the number of spirit variations.
I just wish they'd stop taking my Vodka. It's not finished!

"Elegant British Raj"
The Victoria Room would have to be one of my favourite restaurant/bars in Sydney. I have been there several times for dinner, high tea and just for drinks and have thoroughly enjoyed it each time. The dinner menu consists of tapas style dishes suitable for sharing, the cocktail and wine list is extensive and the high tea on weekends is elegant and a wonderful way to catch up with the girls.
The 'British Raj' style interior is awe-inspiring and I constantly find myself getting distracted from conversations to look around at the beautiful furnishings.

"Always a pleasure..."
I really like the Victoria Rooms, whether for high tea or a whole bucket of cocktails, the crowd is varied but generally quite saucy. Excellent bar with a knowledgable staff that are happy to please. Enjoy!!
