"Eating experience to remember - for the wrong reasons."
Eating at The Australian Heritage Hotel was not at all what we'd expected. Food looked great, even tasted good - unfortunately for my husband though eating a Morrocan Lamb pizza meant a miserable Father's Day spent throwing up all day and having diarrhea as well. I had a vegetarian pizza and a little of the Morrocan pizza and felt off the next morning but mainly I had a revolting taste and tingling in my mouth and my tongue well I won't describe it further. My husband hasn't been unable to hold any food down for 2 days even forcing drink down was hard and I've had little appetite since eating at the Australian Hotel. Don't bother ringing up and alerting the staff about your experience. It will simply add insult to injury. After all it couldn't possibly have been THEIR food. Yeah right!

"Traditional Aussie Pub"
Affectionately known as 'The Australian' to locals, this is a great pub situated at the back end of The Rocks. It's the perfect place to take people from overseas as it is a traditional pub with an Aussie theme and a relaxed, no-fuss atmosphere.
They serve great pizzas for around $18 each such as kangaroo and emu, my personal favourites are the Tandoori Chicken and the Queenslander with ham, pineapple and tomato.
There is seating inside the pub but I always prefer to sit outside on one of the tables out the front or in the side street, especially on a sunny afternoon or balmy summer night. There is seating on the roof, but I think this is more for large group functions. They take reservations.

"Pizza Rocks"
Great meeting place, or as a stopover when showing people The Rocks. Pizzas are very good. Bar staff can be a bit distant. They must get tired of the tourists, bless.
