"Good for watching the night sky"

This place is the best place to watch the night sky and all the celestial bodies. Great way to be more informative as well.

"Simply amazing for kids and big kids"

sydney observatory is at the highest point of the city , so it has an amazing view around it.
The kids party days ( durning the school hoildays ) are a great way to learn about the planets in a fun way, where the kids can watch a 3-d movie, lauch a rocket, look through a telescope and sit in a planetarium . Both kids and adults will enjoy the day.

"An Awesome Experience"

If you live in Sydney you're probably like me and keep saying, "One day, I must go there..." Well, I finally did, and it was excellent! Part self-guided tour, part guided tour and lecture (with a 3D movie no less), and part experience. This was well worth the $15 entry fee.

There is plenty on display, a kind of 'history of astronomy', and even if you only have a passing interest I am sure you will find something that captures your imagination. The highlight, of course, is looking through the telescope. Now, we went on a horrible, stormy night and didn't actually see anything, but we did get to go up and have a look at what is quite an extraordinary piece of equipment.

I would encourage everyone to go at least once - see if you don't want to go again!
