Just like Robbi J, my experience of adult shopping was not the most elegant or even pleasant of experiences. So when a girlfriend introduced me to MaXXX Black in Newtown, it was a total "OH MY GAWD" moment. From the second I walked in I was impressed, and Yes! there were even female staff to help me. I soon found out that what these girls don't know about sex toys is not worth knowing.

We've all been in one. At least, some of us will admit it. The problem with saying to someone that you just found your new 'toy' or that special massage oil you were looking for, is that the first image we all get in our mind of adult shops is sleaze, low lighting, some perv beyond the counter, and row upon row of 'sold as a novelty only' merchandise. For years our expatriates in Europe and the USA have been telling us about bright beautiful showrooms full of georgous objects, fun costumes, lingerie, and staff who really cared about the fact that they were dealing with couples, with self-esteem, and with intimacy. Well now we have one of our own, and I'd bet you your cosmo it's the best adult shop in Sydney, if not Oz.

MaXXX Black is owned by this amazing couple who have built a 'boutique' style adult shopping experience right in the Inner West! It's full of beautifully designed toys, objects, and gadgets from all over the world, as well as lingerie, costumes (Leg Avenue!), a huge collection of books and literature, and wonderful staff.

The store is laid out much like any other shop, so you don't feel as though you've just tripped into the twilight zone. Most product is really nicely merchandised or under glass is illuminated cabinets, so the whole place positively sparkles.

The staff made my shopping trip immensly easy, and more than a little bit fun. They seem to know absolutely everything about every product in there, and they have real experience in helping people (particularly women I was told) to realise their goals, and achieve better levels of intimacy and satisfaction in ALL areas of their lives. They certainly have helped my relationship.

I highly recommend this store to anyone who has ever felt uncomfortable about sex or adult shopping, and women who want the best for themselves. Maxxx Black will change your life.
