I feel being discriminated. We are Chinese descendant who are Australian citizen. We were waiting in the line for some tables. Just me and my wife. And there were another Chinese looking couple in front of us. We are only separated by a pair of girl. Suddenly, a pair stood next to the Chinese couple in front of us, and they were offered seats first. The manager said, just sit on them and the waitress will clean them. Then the two girls. Leaving Chinese couple and us. Then I was looking for some empty tables, and found them and ask the manager to let us seat. The manager said they needed to be cleaned. I thought that's fine, I would wait. Then 2 minutes later I went out to the table again, the tables were taken by another couple, of which my eyes witnessed that they just arrive. I started to feel offended. Then there were another couple after us. We waited together, and they were offered seats first.
So we become like the last couple to be offered seats. My wife is pregnant and she needed some food. So we couldn't wait any longer and went across the road, got the food quick, and paid big tips to the restaurant.
To Big John's blonde manager, if you are reading, please arrange the table management properly. I feel discriminated, but I am hoping that you are not a racist. I was also dressed in summer attire (tshirt, short and Crocs). I am hoping that you did not draw a conclusion that people who dress like that cannot afford to pay for your food.

We were introduced by our friend to try your restaurant, and we experienced this bad feeling. I hope others who are being introduced will not feel the same.

I believe the food is good as it was introduced by our friend, but may be the service needs to match up with the food as well.

Have had takeway many times - mostly various pasta dishes and herb pizza. Large servings and quality food. Had home delivery once, but it took a while to be delivered.

Have only eaten in the restaurant once and this was not a good experience. I had arranged for six of us to have dinner there one night. The tables - although long, are not very wide and are situated too close to each other. It was very cramped and there wasn't much room on the table for our food. The restaurant was also very stuffy and hot - not sure if the air conditioning was working.

The dishes did not arrive in the right order ie. the main courses were served and then out came the herb/garlic bread and salads, which should have come first I think. The desserts were okay, but all the gelato was like a rock and could not be managed in the glass dish it was served in. We had to put it on a plate and use a knife and fork to attack it. We were also charged for takeaway containers, when we asked to take some leftover food home - have never been charged for containers before.

The staff were probably the worst I've seen anywhere. We had a couple of different waiters/waitresses, none of whom smiled! They were not very attentive and close to being rude. Trying to get water was like pulling hens teeth.

Love the quantity and quality of the food, but the staff and cramped/ uncomfortable dining conditions detract from the food.

Go there if you are hungry as you'll get a good feed, but you'll have to put up with poor customer service and seating arrangements.
