""Oooh touch me at the Deus.....""
At the Deus at the Deus, at the Deus. At the Deus at the deus, at the Deus. At the Deus at the Deus, oh oh oh at the Deus.
This cafe is cool. The artwork and layout gets you started. As well as being part of a reconditioned motorcycle shop, the large shared tables start you thinking of smiling rather than frowning. The ex-Mambo owner influenced artwork is colourful and cheerful, whilst still being sophisticated enough to require more than just a glance.
Best for brekkie - lazily reading the shared papers and mags.

"Eating With Motorcycles"
Deus Cafe is oozing coolness. The cafe is situated at the Deus ex Machina (latin for God in the Machine) motorcyle showroom at Camperdown. The owners have found a market niche and done a great job of turning the old warehouse into a great space. They recondition old motorcyles under the brand Deus and have them (and some other makes as well) on display and for sale in one section of the premises. Basically, if you own a Deus you are one very cool dude or dudette. There is also a selection of clothing, bags, books and motorcycle-related items for sale.
Art displays take up most of the wall space throughout the cafe and the low chairs and tables help to create a relaxed and casual atmosphere. They serve a range of food including green chicken curry, pizza slices and steak sandwiches and toasted panninis. The cakes look delicious too! I always go for a toasted ham, provolone and tomato pannini and a fruit frappe, followed by a coffee.
It gets busy on weekends so there is always a bussling and lively atmosphere. I highly recommend checking Deus out, even if it is just to have a look. Even if you aren't into motorcycles, go anyway, I guarantee you will be impressed.
